The British Library, which has locations in London and North Yorkshire announced on Saturday that it had been targeted by a cyber attack.
In a post on X just before 10:00 am Saturday, the library said that it was experiencing some technical issues affecting its web services.

Shortly after 11:00 the library issued an update to say that the services at its St.Pancras location was also experiencing issues, with limited access to resources, and no WiFi.

A further post late on Saturday said that people should not travel to the library on Monday until services had resumed.

On Sunday, the library announced that their North Yorkshire site was also affected, but today the library announced that the IT issues were the result of a cyber attack affecting their systems. The library is open to the public, but services are vastly reduced.
