A multi-national coalition of law enforcement agencies have taken down the clearweb site of the infamous BreachForums.

Visitors to the domain breached.vc are now met with the standard “This domain has been seized” message.

breached.vc domain seizure notice

The domain takedown comes three months after the arrest of its owner Conor Fitzpatrick (aka Pompompurin), under multiple cybercrime charges. I posted about the initial take-down of the dark web forum, and arrest of Pompompurin back in March.

The U.S. Secret Service, Homeland Security Investigations, the N.Y. Police Department, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the Dutch National Police, the Australian Federal Police, the U.K National Crime Agency, and Police Scotland were all involved in the take-down of the site.

Pompompurin’s personal domain has also been seized as part of the same operation.

Law enforcement agencies have had a bit of a dig at the admin (and visitors) by subtly altering Pompompurin’s avatar in the seizure banner – They have added a pair of handcuffs to the image.

The dark web version of BreachForum does not display the seizure banner yet, but is currently inaccessible and visitors to the site receive a “404 Not Found” Nginx error.
