EasyPark group who own parking apps RingGo and ParkMobile says an unknown threat actor compromised its systems and stole customer data.

The data stolen contains names, phone numbers, address data, email addresses, and partial payment data.

So far, tge company had not divulged the number of affected customers, but the app is used by tens of thousands of users across 4,000 cities in 23 countries including Australia, New Zealand, The U.S.A, and most of Western Europe.

The company has said that they believe only its RingGo customers have been affected in the breach which was initially detected on the 10th December, as that system is integrated with EasyPark technology, but customers of the ParkMoble platform are not affected as that app is stand-alone.
