Back in September, I posted about the devastating effect a ransomware attack can have on a victim, and the sad story of KNP Logistics, which was hit with such an attack in June that they couldn’t recover from and so had to call in insolvency agents to close their business with the loss of some 730 jobs.

Well, unfortunately, another haulage firm has now been targeted. Owens group, a family-owned haulier, based in Llanelli, South Wales was compromised by LockBit on the 6th November, and on the 15th, all the stolen data was published.

Data stolen by the gang included Financials (budgets, cash flow, balance sheets, tax returns, etc.), Employee details (Names, addresses, driving licence data, passport information, Salaries, bonuses, etc.), Client data (Addresses, phone numbers, payments, NDAs, Contracts.) and other operational data including SQL databases, Sage data, project information, and more.
