This might not sound like a massive deal to anyone who isn’t an employee of Zaun – the UK fencing manufacturer and supplier, however if you are one of the company’s customers, you might be rethinking your perimeter security posture.

Based in Wolverhampton and with offices in France and the UAE, Zaun provide fencing solutions for a wide range of customers, including some fairly important UK ones.

UK government and MoD installations at GCHQ Bude, HMNB Clyde (Faslane), DSTL Porton Down, Cawdor barracks, and RAF Waddington all feature as customers of Zaun in the recently released leaked files stolen by Lockbit.

Back at the beginning of August, Lockbit published Zaun on their leak site as one of their victims and gave them until the 29th August to connect and discuss ransom payments.

As of today – all leaked files have been published on the Lockbit dark web site as a 72.4Gb download

The data stolen by Lock bit mostly contains invoice details, but a few leaked emails also contain some schematics and engineering drawings.

A spokesperson for Zaun confirmed that no classified documents had been leaked.
