Conor Brian Fitzpatrick (A.K.A. Pompompurin) who was the the owner of breached.vc the notorious hacking forum, has plead guilty to charges of hacking and possession of child pornography.

Court documents recently released show that the defendant (Fitzpatrick) entered a guilty plea on three counts relating to:

  • Conspiracy to commit device access fraud
  • Solicitation for the purpose of offering access devices
  • Possession of child pornography

The maximum penalty for device access fraud is 10 years imprisonment, a fine of $250,000, full restitution, forfeiture of assets, a $100 special assessment, and three years of supervised release

The maximum penalty for offering access devices is 10 years imprisonment, a fine of $250,000, full restitution, forfeiture of assets, a $100 special assessment, and three years of supervised release

The maximum penalty of possession of child pornography is 20 years of imprisonment, a fine of $250,000, full restitution, forfeiture of assets, and a minimum supervised release term of 5 years and a maximum of Life.

The charges were put before Fitzpatrick and his attorney who have both agreed the charges are correct – Fitpatrick signed the charge sheet on the 10th July 2023 and the papers were filed with the Eastern District of Virginia court on the 13th July.

These charges come swiftly after the takedown of the breached.vc website by various law agencies including the FBI, Police Scotland, the NCA, the Dutch national police, and others back in late June. You can read my post about that event here.

Sentencing for Fitzpatrick will take place later
